EVENT \\ Durban Graffiti Tour with Street Scene

Street Scene are hosting another epic graffiti tour on Saturday the 28th March 2015 as part of the Graffiti South Africa book launch for Durban.

Durban continues to sustain a burgeoning underground culture, demonstrated most graphically on the walls of the city through what is arguably one of South Africa’s most hidden Street Art scenes. The story of the painted “Poison City” will have you walking the pathways of countless graffiti writers and artistic vigilantes, from the South Basin to Rivertown. PICS \\ Graffiti South Africa Book Launch, Johannesburg

The Johannesburg leg of the ‘Graffiti South Africa’ book launch took place at Kalashnikovv Gallery in Braamfontein from 26 to 28 February.

The book launch featured a group exhibition with work by DekorOne, Riot, Veronika, Page33, Zesta, Ryza, Kevin Love, Ben Eagle, Myza420, Tapz, Nuke and Devo. The window mural was painted by FiyaOne & Rekso…

Graffiti South Africa Book: Johannesburg Launch

The Graffiti South Africa book launch for Johannesburg takes place from Thursday, February 26th until Saturday, February 28th at Kalashnikovv Gallery.

The three-day book launch features a group exhibition, book signing and graffiti tour, as well as some live graffiti painting.

The show will open on Thursday evening from 6.30pm and will include photographic work by the author and a small group exhibition. A book signing will be held on the Saturday morning, as well as a Braamfontein street art walking tour by Past Experiences…

PICS \\ FREEDUMB: A Graffiti Exhibition (Johannesburg)

Our first exhibition, Freedumb, took place for one-night-only at Assemblage Studios in Newtown, Johannesburg last week Thursday, October 30th. The exhibition was curated by Korean-based art organisation, Public Delivery and features a behind-the-scenes look at the processes and lifestyles of graffiti writers, mainly within Europe’s underground subway system.
